Alain Demaire

Alain graduated from SupAéro French grande école for aerospace engineering in 1987 and owns a MBA from ESSEC. He joined Airbus Defense and Space in 1991 as a propulsion engineer after a military service in French Guiana as a safety officer. In 1996 he contributed to the first French Eklectric propulsion program on Stentoir and was appointed as head of Electric propulsion department in 2001 to complete the first Eurostar 3000 maintained in orbit with the SPT-100. He joined SSC that is now OHB Sweden and which had the legacy of flying the world  record breaking PPS-1350  to start a propulsion competence center. This team is today, among others, delivering electric propulsion system to OHB System. His team and him are involved in several R and D topics on Electric always focusing on customer added value.
